Only 1 absolutely positioned reactive-clickable image gets styled by pseudo-class :hover

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Text-select/highlight a chunk of text in this webpage
  2. hover the mouse cursor over one of the 2 clickable W3C validation image-buttons below (notice an horizontal silver stripe appearing on both sides of that reactive image-button)
  3. now, hover the mouse cursor over the other clickable image below

Actual results in IE 8 RC1 build 18372: the 2nd hovered image-button does not have an horizontal silver stripe appearing on both sides of that reactive image-button

Expected results: the 2nd hovered image-button should have an horizontal silver stripe appearing on both sides of that reactive image-button

Firefox 3.0.6, Opera 9.63, Safari 3.2, Konqueror 4.1.3, Seamonkey 2.x, K-meleon 1.5.x all pass this test.
